After growing up on the east coast of Canada, Emily came to yoga as an activity for the winter months, but quickly found a passion for the mental and physical challenge it provides. In 2017 she completed her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga training and went on to complete a 30 hour Yin Yoga certification in 2019.

With yoga as a vehicle with which to connect mind and body, Emily guides students to become more aware and attuned to their bodies. Her daily Ashtanga practice strongly informs her teaching in balancing strength and flexibility. Emily continues to study the tradition and practices of yoga with her teachers and loves to share that knowledge with her students.

Private Yoga Lessons Available

There are many reasons to schedule private yoga lessons, whether it be convenience in scheduling, providing an introduction to yoga in a more intimate setting, to dive deeper into an existing yoga practice, or to heal the body after injury.

Private yoga lessons are for any level of Yogi, from beginner to advanced practitioner. Anyone can benefit from one on one attention to help you reach your goals. Private lessons can be used to heal an injury, gain strength and flexibility, learn more about yoga or to deepen your personal practice. Private lessons aim to provide a safe space to explore and expand your practice.

Emily Winfield works with students to develop personalized programs to be effective and fun. By working with each student individually, Emily can help you build a practice that is customized to individual needs, accomplishing what many months of group classes aren’t able to address. She believes yoga is healing physically, mentally, and spiritually and brings the knowledge and experience to all of her students.

Emily teaches private lessons at Trax Yoga for $70 per lesson, or three lessons for $195.
