Candlelight Yin

Unwind in our Candlelight Yin class, where soft candlelight sets the mood for a practice focused on deep stretching and targeting connective tissues. By holding poses for several minutes, you’ll increase circulation in the joints and improve range of motion, allowing the body to open with the support of bolsters, blocks, straps, and other props.

This practice encourages the release of tension while promoting flexibility. Open to every BODY, with modifications available for all levels, including beginners.
Benefits:

• Improves circulation and range of motion
• Releases deep tension in the body
• Suitable for all levels, including beginners
Join us for a deep, soothing stretch that enhances mobility in a peaceful candlelit atmosphere.

Jamie Foland
Jamie Foland, RYT-200, is a 2019 graduate of the Trax Yoga Teacher Training program. She found yoga while playing college volleyball for the Alaska Nanooks in the early 2000s, taking classes at UAF and participating in the UAF Yoga Club.

Since Trax Yoga opened its doors, Jamie’s practice has grown and flourished under the inspired guidance of the experienced and well-trained teachers. As a former collegiate volleyball athlete and coach and a current Montessori teacher, she values: community, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, discipline, focus, truth, trust, peace, self-care, and compassion (for self and others).

For Jamie, the journey to becoming a certified yoga teacher was and continues to be transformative. She is excited to continue to grow and learn and to guide and empower her students to realize and experience the transformative power of yoga both on and off their mats.
