Kristin started practicing yoga in 2003 as a way to escape the demands of college and the physical intensity of her figure skating training and coaching. Her competitive figure skating career was a natural fit into an asana- based practice, with the added benefits of a “mind, body and soul” experience; allowing time for the self to reflect, the mind to be still, and the heart to open. Kristin completed her 200- hour teacher training at Anchorage Yoga in the spring of 2013 and her love for choreography inspires her to design intelligent, creative sequencing in every class. Kristin encourages each student to continue their yoga journey with an open mind and a smile!
Born in Fairbanks and enjoying a career in geology, Kristin loves to spend her time outdoors, running, biking, hiking, skiing, camping, fishing, and gardening with her husband, son and two fuzzy golden retrievers. She moved from Anchorage back to Fairbanks in Fall of 2015 to be closer to family and to savor the beautiful, purple and pink skies of the interior winters, and the hot, sunny summers. She is enjoying reconnecting with old friends and becoming active in the Fairbanks community once again.
